From supporting our team’s wellbeing to recognising the causes they care about, this is where we share what matters beyond the day-to-day.
PRACTICAL ACTION
Taking Practical Action on Energy and Efficiency
At Air Energy, environmental responsibility is connected to practical action.
Our 39.13 kWp solar installation at our Hertford site has generated almost 39,000 kWh of electricity since becoming operational in July 2025, helping to reduce the energy we draw from the grid and support a more efficient approach to our own operations.
Our wider contribution also comes through the work we do with customers. Compressed air is essential across many industrial environments, but energy can be wasted through leaks, inefficient control, unnecessary pressure or equipment that no longer matches site demand.
By helping customers understand and improve their compressed air systems, we can support lower energy waste, better system performance and reduced operating costs.
To mark World Environment Day 2026, we have introduced our Wasted Air Energy Calculator, helping businesses take a first step towards understanding the potential cost of inefficient compressed air use.
We want everyone at Air Energy to feel supported, not just in their roles, but in their overall health and wellbeing. That means making practical resources available, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable talking about what matters.
Mental Health Awareness Week 2026
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme is Action.
At Air Energy, we’re keeping the focus simple and practical. Mental health and wellbeing are not just about one week of activity, they’re about the small things that help people feel supported day to day.
That might be taking a proper break, getting outside for a few minutes, speaking up earlier when under pressure, checking in with a colleague, or knowing where to find confidential support when it’s needed.
During the week we’re sharing practical wellbeing reminders and resources with our team, including EAP support information, a short “Fact or Fiction?” quiz, a “Take 30” wellbeing reset, and useful signposting through our Community page.
The aim is not to make wellbeing feel complicated. It’s to encourage small, realistic actions that support healthier working habits all year round.
Small actions. Stronger teams.
Employee Assistance Programme
All UK-based Air Energy employees have access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – a confidential service offering support across mental health, financial wellbeing and legal guidance. Whether you need someone to talk to or practical advice on a difficult situation, the EAP is there when you need it. Details on how to access the service are available through your line manager or the HR team. If you’re based outside the UK, speak to HR about what support is available to you
RESOURCES
Mental health toolbox
A collection of trusted resources for anyone who wants support, information or just a starting point. You don’t have to be in crisis to find something useful here.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
Mind
Information, advice and support for anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
28 April is recognised globally as World Day for Safety and Health at Work, led by the International Labour Organization. At Air Energy, it’s a moment we take seriously, not as a box-ticking exercise, but as a reflection of how we work every day.
28 April 2026
Most safety issues don’t start with major failures. They start with small things being ignored.
A minor air leak. A pressure fluctuation. A system running outside its optimal range. A workaround that becomes “how we do things.” Workload, pressure and fatigue play a bigger role than most people think – influencing decisions, shortcuts and how systems are actually run. Over time, these build into real risk. Not just to equipment, but to the people working around it. That’s why World Day For Safety and Health at Work matters.
This year’s focus is on psychosocial health: workload, pressure, stress and how teams are actually managed. Not as a reminder to put posters up, but to reinforce what actually makes a difference day to day: spotting early warning signs, reporting near misses, and speaking up when workload or pressure impacts safe operation.
In engineering environments, safety isn’t separate from performance. It’s built into how systems are run, maintained and challenged.
The best teams don’t wait for the failure. They act on the small signals.
We believe in supporting our team in their roles, and helping them to share and grow their expertise.
We asked Chris, one of our technical support engineers, about the most common issues he sees on site, and where energy is typically being lost in compressed air systems.
We believe in supporting our team not just in their roles, but in the things that matter to them beyond work. Here’s what some of our team have been up to.
